Safeguarding
At DSLV we take safeguarding children very seriously. All children have the right to be safe.
As such, we have invested in a team of designated safeguarding professionals, from Heads of Year and Phase leaders, to a brilliant welfare team including four highly experienced lead practitioners for safeguarding.
We use a computerised system called CPOMS to record any issues which allows all adults at the academy to report concerns. We have an open door policy for all issues around pupil safety, pupils can access support and guidance from a range of places at all times.
We work in partnership with external agencies including social care, the police, school nursing service and lots more to ensure that pupils are well looked after.
