2000 plus people visit DSLV’s Emergency Services Community Day!
Who said schools are quiet in the Summer Holidays? Thanks to the Emergency Services and the Town Council a terrific August Day was blessed with just over two thousand visitors! There was so much to see and do, with a strong safeguarding message permeating through the day.
The event clearly helps to break down barriers between the Emergency Services and the local community they so superbly serve. This builds on the relationships created by the Emergency Services Community Office based in school. Students get used to seeing and talking to members of the Emergency Services. DSLV would like to thank everyone involved, especially the Rapid Relief Team who provided free food for the day!
