Learning outside the classroom
We recognise the value of enriching learning with additional opportunities to help bring the curriculum to life. Throughout all topics, visitors and trips out are considered very important to help enthuse pupils, provide a motivating platform for learning and deliver memorable first hand experiences.
- Residential trips
- Cathedral/Church visits
- Local community visitors
- Walks to the local shops/parks
- Museum visits
Extra Curricular Opportunities
Extra-curricular activities are an important part of life at DSLV.
Being able to offer our children a wide range of diverse extra-curricular activities is very important as it encourages them to become independent, confident and successful members of the community.
Children socialise with other children in a different context and have fun along the way too.
Our primary phase offers a variety of extra-curricular activities which take place at lunchtimes and after school. Some of these are seasonal with up to date information included in newsletters.
Some examples of our clubs and activities include:
- Lego Club
There are many more clubs and activities available to join throughout the year.
