What to do if . . .
You want to discuss your child’s progress
If your child is in Primary and Nursery contact the class teacher in the first instance who will then be happy to discuss this with you.
If your child is in the Senior and Sixth Form, please contact the form tutor in the first instance. If your concerns relate to a particular subject, you should contact the class teacher or the head of department.
You want to make a complaint
Please follow the procedures in our Complaints Policy, which can be found in the Academy Policies area of this website
You would like permission for a planned absence during term time
Please print off and complete the form below. You should then return this to your Child’s form tutor.
Your child is unable to come to the academy in full uniform in the short term
Send your child to the academy with a note asking the child to be excused and explaining when you expect the situation to be resolved by. Please note that correspondence from home will not always excuse your child from a detention.
There is bad weather which you think may close the academy
You should check this Website for any announcements about academy closures and it will be reported on local Radio.
Your child is unwell and unable to attend
Contact the attendance line to explain the absence (tel: 01327 313428). If the absence continues, follow up with a note to the form tutor when your child returns to the academy.
You would like paper copies of the information on our Website
Contact the Main Reception on 01327 313400 and we will arrange to send the information you require, free of charge.
